Dan... I've done it and now going back.

The swap is very simple. Have you found a BBC? I have a bunch of parts like an Edelbrock alum water pump, Hooker super comp headers in various sizes, etc. I'm sure we could do some parts swapp'n.

It's an easy swap except if it's a first gen f-car as the frame mounts differant. The engine sits off to pass side a little more and the drivers side header clears better I know I have done it a ton of times. Chevelles and impalas the easiest.

Well Dan always had a 64 Impala SS in his garage (and I think even before his black cobra back in the day). Nothing wrong with a little Ford Blue in the blood.

                        ha!

Thanks guys. And yes, there have been MANY MANY MANY Ford's in my garages, but only 2 Chevy's. And the 1st one burned. :(

Cradle mounts should have P#3980711 FOR LEFT SIDE AND 3980712 FOR RIGHT SIDE THEN JUST NEED TO BUY MOTOR MNTS OF YOUR CHOICE I.E. URETHANE OR STOCK RUBBER, THEY DO MAKE A STOCK RUBBER MNT THAT INTERLOCKS FOR SAFETY AS WELL. GOOD LUCK YOU'LL LUV A BIG BLOCK.

A good source for Chevelle info is www.teamchevelle.com , they have a tech section among many other things to help out.
