  • Pics of my 66 Nova

Went to take some pics of my Nova today and B.S. with my friend who's working on the sheet metal for me right now. I have a long ways to go but have many of the parts gathered for the project. I will be running an aftermarket front subframe with mustang 2 type front suspension with coilovers. Have a big block for it as well. Will have all factory type interior including factory buckets up front and a full rear stock seat. I will keep posting as it moves along.

A friend of mine that lives in Hutch, by the way I saw you coming back from that direction on my way up there today. Gary used to live in New Ulm and former bodyman, does great work.

Looks awesome, I like the way the hood looks already, should have a mean stance to it. One of my fav body styles...

What color is it going to be...?

Not quite sure yet, thinking of a light blue, kinda turquoise maybe similar to a factory color from that era.

When I first started I had given thought to a color called Butternut Yellow, a factory color for GM. It's more of a pale yellow. I've changed my mind on the color a hundred times and probably will a hundred more before its painted.

That was you then... I thought it might have been. Too many black Chevy trucks to catch my attention. Yeah, I was up in Milaca checking out what turned out to be a POS. Oh well, at least it was a nice road cruise.

Took a break for the summer on the Nova, but I ordered a Heidts front end today along with their inner fender panels. I will also be ordering the fuel cell this week so we can finish off the trunk floor and get it on the rotisserie to finish weld everything and start prepping the underside for paint.

I hope it will be nice when it's done and it will mainly be a street car that sees the track once in a while, it will probably be a couple years before its done but it should be worth the wait.
