A guy in a c3 vette hit the wall after the 1320 mark and broke the wall. He is fine I guess but they stopped racing for the weekend. I wasn't there but my buddy that's working for the msra sent me pics

I did not get any runs. Oils downs and clean-ups were the name of the game on Saturday

I was two cars back from the burnout box when the corvette hit the wall. He was lucky to walk away from that one.

              Sunday was great!
              1st pass 14.71 @ 93.02 Shifted into 2nd at 4K
              2nd pass 14.58 @ 94.03 5K every shift also added 5 gallons of 110 octane
3rd pass 14.43 @ 95.15 5200 shift and took the air cleaner off.

Put it one the trailer and came home.

              Fun weekend

Congrats, 14's coming home in one piece is better than running low 12's and blowing it up. Did the car hook well or were you spinning off the line?.

It hooked great left @ 2000 to 2200 head went back every time. A lot of the fast skinny tire cars were having issues hooking.

Was running the M/T ETstreets at 25psi and went down to 20psi no problems.
Was hoping for more but I'm happy and never touched the motor besides takeing the air cleaner off of it.
Working on some vids so stay tuned.

Pulled the motor this winter from some fresh frost plugs. Yep frost plugs. Leaking bad.
While i have it out thinking on some upgrades and cleaning up the office.

Any suggestions on cams. Just a stock 2 bolt 396 w/large oval port 702 closed chamber heads. I have now idea where the cam card is for whats in it, but guessing its a 500/500 lift stock replacement piece.
                          Running a turbo 350 trans and a 3:55 12bolt posi. Also have a 3500 stall converter.
If I don't I'll stuff it back in and drive it.

Bob would probably be the best to recommend a cam. I always like the comp grinds. I always ran hydraulics on my Chevelle

WTF? someone stole the engine :laughing smile:
Next get together show up and we can talk cams or you could just buy my 454 shortblock and a few other goodies and run easy 12's. I got it to run 11.90's in my bird back in 04, Glenn can verify that.
