  • T-56

If all goes well with the sale, Looks like I just got a T-56 for the bird so it could be a very fun year driving around. The only thing that sucks is I have to cut the floor to make this fit. Doc I may need some help on this with your
    sheet metal expertise. Ahh...6 speeds

I will also be putting in the 4.10's again too. Thet seem to work good in red camaros.

I love the T56 / 4.10 combo in my Impala.

It will really make your car more fun to drive and probably get better MPG's, too!

The tire budget might take a hit, though.

The Bird has had a stick in it before so it will be nothing for me to swap over.
I just got a super T-10 for the car but the T-56 is what I wanted and now that I found that adapter plate to make the swap easier sure will help. I got a lot of tires to burn through

Looks like the second T-56 is here. I went to the swap meets and those guys want blood for used bellhousings, F-them. I found you can get a scattersheild for $200 from
speedway. I wil get the spacer, new clutch and flywheel and I am good to go. Looks like I may not have to cut the floor up after all reading some stuff on line.

I have decided that if this works out in the bird I might swap a T-56 into my suburban too. the 454 would like that.
