  • trying to hop things up a little

well I wanted to keep this quiet for a while but I am getting bored with coming on here and reading nothing so I figured I would show off my new motor a little and tell you what I have planned, I wanted to wait until I was a little further along in the project but I am thinking everyone is getting a little bored so here it is, I wont have this done for at least a couple month's, I am hoping to maybe catch the last few races of the year and maybe hit a cruise or two, I have to make headers, get the dry sump oil system all figured out, do a little fabing with the engine plates, do a little massaging on the firewall to clear the distributer, and I will have to notch out my k-frame a little to clear the dry sump pan, all things considered, I don't think I will have a problem getting it all done by the middle to late summer, I am sure I will run into a few issues but nothing to serious I am sure, so as for the motor, it is a mild street motor, 11.7-1 compression, 358 cubic inch small block, R5 mopar block, P7 mopar heads, jessel belt drive, jessel 1.8 ratio rockers, arrington engines custom grind roller cam, Bryant crank, Carrillo 6" rods, je gas ported pistons, crank is 3.253 stroke, bore is 4.183 with 4.173 pistons 8.875 deck height, cam is 271/279@ 50, 763/770 lift, 108 lobe separation, intake center line degreed to 104.375, like I said, should be a nice little street motor, good rpms, and should perform OK on a 200 horse shot of spray, hopefully I can keep up with ramair, but like I said, I am going more mild for street use, low compression and small cubes

Nice. Looks to be a really nice mild combination. Sure you'll have enough for ramair? It's only 358 cubes...

Looks like the motor plate adapters should be a piece of cake, but the K member might be a little more difficult. Not much spare room there from what I can tell.

yep they are cnc ported, the engine was built by arrington engines, I shouldnt have spent the money but I lowballed and it was at a price I couldnt pass up. hopefully ramair, in the next two months we can line em up.
