  • Project Grand National ressurect........

    Hey guys, Im in the middle of a winter project on my 1986 Grand National. Heres some pictures of the progress....

    Here's what is being done....

    -Boxing, notching, triangulating, blasting, and painting the frame
    -Tubular uppers and lowers up front
    -Boxed uppers and lowers in the rear
    -Stock rear housing with Moser 30 splines and Auburn locker and c-clip elim.
    -Eibach prokit springs
    -Bilstein shocks
    -Wolfe weld in rear swaybar
    -Energy poly body mounts
    -HR poly engine and trans mounts
    -Pinion snubber and ds loop
    -325 50 15 drag radials
    -Reproduction Grand National oe style 15x10 rears
    -2004R with all billet internals-3800 stall N/L converter
    -250 CID stroker-GN1 heads, TA headers, Precision PT70Gtq, 83lb injectors with MAftPro and 4" mafless intake, and some goodies to make it all work....

      Lol. We can do both!!! My dad had a regal T when I was younger, I never really got over it!! It really didnt need what im doing, the body is nice, but why not!! Ill do the underside, mechanical and interior this winter and the body next winter!

        Looks and sounds like it's an awesome project! Do you have any pics from before starting the tear down?

          Heres a few, I dont have them all loaded on my computer right now.....

          The burnout was 171.5 feet with a 275 50 tire on 5 cylinders......LOL, this thing should be a rocket come spring.......

                That looks like onw of my burnouts I did that a couple of times with the 2.73's in the car
                and nice big block.
