It would STILL be a STOCK MOTOR BUT THERE WOULD A GOOD SET OF HEADS AND A BIG CAM. IT STILL A STOCK SHORT BLOCK. I did every thing to the rex that I could but All that was left to do was to get a good set of head and I know that it would have been over 400HP. I see you can GIVE SHIT BUT YOU CAN"T TAKE IT.You baby STILL GOOD LUCK WITH THAT! You side that you motor now may be has 220 to the wheel and by putting on a good set of heads and a big cam will give you 280 EXTRA HP. Then man thats the way to go. tell the hole world that you can get 280EXTRA HP on a STOCK SHORT BLOCK with heads and a big cam and that it.
PS I still LOVE YOU you man you
    :bullshit:

its not a stock short block numbnuts... you are digging yourself a hole you can't get out of... i didn't know that putting a whole new top end onto a decently built bottom end still qualified as being stock? but evidently in isaacs small mind it is...

Dry shot with no MAF. Safer than wet. Do some research

It is safer if you have all the components to make it safe. No maf, so what interface will you be using to get the extra fuel from the injectors?

I am going to "trick" the computer in power enrichment mode. I am trying to figure out why you guys would question a dry shot? Doing it this way is definitely much safer, and cheaper than a wet hit.

Why would it be any cheaper?

Put a new radiator in the Biscayne already, Tork just welded on my new lower shock mounts i made for my Blue 66 Nova and installed a diagonal bar to get rid of the panhard bar- rides much better now. Also install new shifter, different seats, redo the interior and finally give it fresh squirt of paint.
My Chevelle I need to pull the tranny and see what went wrong. Would also like to install an HRPartsnstuff rear swaybar as well.
Finish up my kids new race quad as well. So not much really........:rlol:

What's the tranny not doing Rusty? Lost second if I remember right?

First seems fine, but then again its just spinning. Hit second and dropped approx. 1000 rpm then shot back up over 1000 rpm instantly. Tried nailing it while in drive going about 45-50mph and tranny slipped as well. Anyone any ideas?

Sounds like the intermidiate clutches are not holding and every time I had 2nd gear troubles in a turbo 400 either the intermitiate or the direct clutches had a problem also that was with a B&M shift kit and they are junk, Now I use Transgo stuff. Check the front pump for wear too.

Could be intermediate, but I'm betting on a pressure problem and a smoked forward clutch, but it could be elsewhere. Time to drop it and dissassemble....

Who built it and what's in there for a valvebody?

Originally Kral rebuilt it for me ten years ago and worked great the whole time. I just decided to freshen things up since I had the motor out, Fox went thru it this time but really shouldnt have changed any thing other than seals, steels and clutches. Still a stock valve body with a B&M shift kit btw.

Ok, I'd be looking for trash in the valvebody, a damaged seal on a clutch piston, or a broken ring on the center support or back side of the pump. Once it's apart the problem should make itself obvious.

Stuff happens... No matter how careful someone is assembling these things, things can go wrong.. Been there done that.

Just tuning the 1982 this year,as I just went out with some advice to get my license passes in. I see a few tenths left on the table with the 150 shot. I might even step up to the 300 shot.

The 2001 is getting a cam,afr heads,3500 stall, stainless headers,Fast 92/92. light weight wheels, new fuel system, s60 rearend and a chromoly cage. Than I will start on the LSX hybrid block for the '82.
