  • Put together a new 350 [done]

Just got done putting a nice forged piston, steel crank,4bolt main SB together for the bird now I have to decide on the bowtie heads or the vortec heads for the motor and the stuff I have read leads me to putting the vortecs on lot more bottom end.

Guess I will port the bowties and save them for the race car.

Maybe you should have asked Joe to borrow his pistons along with "piston adapters"

The ones he uses are those modified hi-tech models and are too low a compression for me and have too much ring gap:rotfl:

Took the car out for a drive today runs great very happy with the combo idles smooth and goes surprisingly well considering the the cam specs. of a 193 degere intake duration and 198 degree exhaust.

Just started to put new seat covers on the original seats. This job sucks, Maybe that's why those guys get so much for this kind of work.
