I recently lost to someone in a race on the street by like 6 feet. I'm not making excuses it was fair, but I had 2 10" subs in box w/ amp in the trunk which won't be there when we go to the track. I don't think taking them out will make a huge difference but anyway back to my Q. I was wondering what size drag tire I would need for a 15" wheel, stock tire size 205/60r15?

I found a bfg g-force t/a drag radial that looks nice. I'm going to see if I can get a deal on them through my work. Thanks for the input. There are no coil overs for this car that I know of. I have aftermarket KYB's on it and lowering springs so I think that will help a little.

Nitto and MT doesn't make a 225 for this car.. not to many choices for that tire size .
ramairws6 cut a 1.4 on his 17 inch nittos last year. Very impressive if you ask me, but each car is different...

well the stock wheel/tire size is 205/55r16. I'm running 225/50r16's instead. I want to take my 15" wheels off of my winter car and put 2 drag tires on them. The stock tire size for those wheels are 205/60r15. So should I run a wider tire than 205 for the track or should I stay at 205? Also I was thinking of getting a 205/50r15 drag radial for the track because it would have a smaller diameter and give me more of 4th gear at the track. A 215 tire is not as common though. Would 205/50r15 be a good choice?

With that car your going to have to do some trial and error, if you can dead hook on the 205's then keep them as it is less rotating mass over a bigger tire. At the track I see no reason you couldn't do that on a 205 due to the VHT compound and some sussp mods. IF you put a bigger tire on and hook to GOOD you are going do dogg your car down off the line and actually run slower.
I would get that back stiff with bags and take both sets of tires to the track you currently have and see which one does better.

Also, I hope I'm not getting annoying but.., Would a bfg g-force t/a drag radial be good at the track? I read reviews and they're saying they are gaining up to a full second in the 1/4 just from these tires. I know they have a 00 treadwear rating so they must be damn sticky right?

My cousin has a pretty stock 86 fox, took it to the track on 235 cooper cobras and ran 14.3, came back with Nitto like a month later 275 DR's and actually ran slower 14.4-14.5 cause he hooked to good and it pulled the motor down off the line. There is things we could of tried but I think it started raining. Now we are talking a whole different car here, but you get my point.
It's all trial and error.

I also know of a person that also just stuck shipping rubbers in the rear of the springs, and he runs a front wheel drive GTP to the 11.9's. They came off of brand new GTO's so they wouldn't bounce while being shipped or something like that. Just make sure they don't fall out down the track or you will have some angry people at the track.
