Interesting. Maybe gears are different than engines but I've never seen my engine oil turn foamy even after running it extremely hard. I've seen oil turn foamy on engines with leaking head gaskets though

I think it can foam when it goes through a turbo. The example may not reflect the actual parameters in most cases. So I would guess that it's inconclusive. It does show that there is a difference regardless.

I like the Lucas oil displays showing the climbing characteristics though. Probably worth trying
