Minneapolis, MN July 31, 2008 -- International Motorsports Entertainment and Development Corporation today announced that it has chosen a site for its state of the art mixed-use motorsports complex. Plans for the project to be situated on approximately 400 acres in Big Lake, MN include a 5/8 mile, high-banked paved oval, a one quarter mile drag strip, a three-eighths mile oval dirt track and a 100,000 square foot exhibition and convention center.

Management is excited about the project. "IMEDC looks forward to a long and prosperous partnership with fellow businesses and the community of Big Lake", said Jim Farnum President of IMEDC. "Our vision is to create a first-class complex for the state and local community of which all Minnesotans can be proud."

The majority of Minnesota racing enthusiasts, sponsors and competitors are located within this Minneapolis St. Paul market and Minnesota, especially the metro area, is home to many types of professional sports. "We feel the time is right to add motorsports to the areas list of professional sports," added Farnum. Management will provide more information about the project in the coming weeks.

Just read the same thing in the Big Lake news too.
