Yeah, I hope to get out to more shows & weekly events this season! Sure hope we have a decent summer this year! We're due! I posted a few upcoming shows in the car gatherings sticky.
Only thing is, I still need to get the turbo & downpipe replaced. The dude I had work on the car last year did a good job, but he got pissed after he wouldn't turn the boost back up to 22 lbs like it was before & I told him that I'm the fucking boss & he was getting paid to do what I told him to do. So now he won't work on my car. Fine with me. I'm not gonna let somebody who's only been into turbo Buicks for 10 yrs or so tell me that I'm gonna blow mine up, when I've been running 22 lbs since the '90s & have put on ~140k mi at that level of tune with zero issues.
The downside is that I need a new mechanic who knows turbo Buicks (or at least turbo cars in general) well & can get it done this spring. There is more stupidity than hydrogen in the universe, and it has a longer shelf life. - Frank Zappa

22 lbs is all I need to run high 11s. Would need to do a bunch of expensive stuff to run much more, unless I convert to E85. A couple guys in the club are running 38 lbs of boost on E-85, using some serious Buick stuff such as Stage III blocks & heads. One's supposed to put out 1400 HP & the other one's supposed to be good for 1700 HP!
I'd be happy with 22 lbs boost & 425 HP at the wheels like I used to have. I can do that safely on 100 octane, or on pump-gas premium w/alky injection.Last edited by Fast One; 03-26-2025, 11:30 AM.There is more stupidity than hydrogen in the universe, and it has a longer shelf life. - Frank Zappa
