    Crane Cams SS-330-NC.jpg

Bob, any idea what lobe center the SS-330-NC had? That's the cam Clarence had in his 331 SBC '65 Chevelle back in '70. He used to granny shift and bitchslap people in the area. 4-speed, 4.10 gears and later went to 4.88s, 11 to 1 Manley (womanley) forged pistons. C4B intake but then switched to Tarantula, 780 holley, Jardine headers. This cam pulled the pressed in studs out of the double hump heads. A guy tried to pin them but must have drilled into a water source as water shot everywhere, so he bought a set of LT1 heads with screw in studs with guide plates. It shined between 6-7K. We took off the 327 emblems and put on 283. Always had tools in the trunk to uncap the headers and slicks when needed.

    Found this:
If your's was a solid lifter cam, and the numbers in the catalog that 24riverview posted are correct, it looks like it's comparable to the 30-30 fuelie/Z28 cam. Geared right, it's a fun ride.

I need some more info on that like the intake and exhaust centerlines. The GM 30-30 cam was on a 114°LSA. That SS-330 cam looked like a pretty nice cam. I do know it was an asymmetrical cam as the opening and closing sides are different.
