This past year the 409 was running kind of poorly right after I got it out in April and the front carb flooded badly. Got that all cleaned up and was ready to take it out but the 409 seemed like it was down on power and a cyl or two. Last weekend I swapped out the new plugs and opted for the old AC's as I thought they ran better. Messed with the 2 Eddy carbs but it still wasn't right, until I checked the timing which was way off. Seems some dumbass (me lol) didn't tighten down the distributor hold down enough and it moved slightly. Got it all fixed and the '09 runs sweet. 2025 will be a great cruising year me thinks. All I have left are the new headers, put in the 3.36 posi and the new tubular upper control arms to get rid of the dreaded bump steer these old cars have.
