  • Been a tough week

This week has been kind of tough as my cat that we've had for 14 years got really sick 2 weeks ago and never recovered, he was fine up to that point in time. Seems they said he had kidney disease but he was filling up with fluid and wasn't doing well at all. On Wed. he was so weak he could hardly walk to his water dish, that's when I knew I had to do the the one thing I always hate to. We had to put the little guy down. Been kind of quiet around the house these past few days and it will take me some time to get used to him not being in my lap every morning. I will miss out little bite and fight sessions we used to have every day also. RIP little buddy, you sure are missed a lot.

Bummer! Sorry for your loss. Our kitty Viva died a couple weeks ago. She was 12. Had been to the vet numerous times, but they couldn't nail-down what was wrong with her. She was also losing lots of weight & getting really weak. One night, she climbed down from my sister's bed, made her way downstairs, laid down in her litter-box, and died. Fuck, I still tear-up when I think about how we found her the next morning. At least I did get to give her a few nice long belly-rubs the day before. Even as sick as she was, she still rolled over, stretched out, and purred like mad as I gave her a full belly-rub. She always knew that I'm the belly-rub guy!

We're getting another kitty after Thanksgiving. She's 2 yrs old. Here's a pic.

Thanks Joel, sorry to hear about your loss also. Today we got our cats remains back, and even though he's passed on it helps so see his urn with his remains in his little doughnut bed. It just makes me feel a little better today.

Yup, I got way to attached to that cat, he was my lap buddy after my Son moved out in 2017. The week before he moved out the car one day came up to me in my chair and hopped up in my lap. He had never done that before.
