  • Damn Flowmaster prices jumped up!?

I've been eyeing some flowmaster exhaust for my car figured I would by it in spring. Jegs and Summit at the time had this kit for sale around 360.00 bucks. (this was a couple days ago!) I then looked today and both of them where selling them for 488.00 bucks I jumped on ebay quick and seen summit still had some listed for 359.95! Not sure if I got away with a deal or not, but I wasnt going to take a chance!

It'll happen with K&N as well. I read a thread on another forum a few days ago about this. I guess both K&N and Flowmaster have issued minimum price standards on their products. So even with the quantity that Summit/Jegs probably move of both of those, they had to move prices up or run the risk of losing K&N and Flowmaster as suppliers.

I suppose but a 120.00 jump on a kit seems pretty high to me?

Actually the thrush are more like the dynomax since dynomax owns thrush there the welded chamber mufflers. I run them on my stang cause I couldn't justify the cost of the flowmasters. I think they sound pretty good.

I have super 40's on the firebird way too loud and I want something quieter so I will put them on the race car.

I called the thrush tech to talk to them about them and they said they were like the flowmaster 40's THe diagram on the box had a cutaway of the mufflers and they are just like the flowmasters inside. the thrush welded do not look like the dynomax at all
