Newer guy in the club, Jason Bertram. Think he moved here from Florida back in ~2010. When I was asking the local TR guys who I should go to, everyone recommended him. The shop is in Edina. A friend of his owns the shop, but Jason works on TRs there. Jason just finished building the GN in the background for him. Has a kilo-horse V6!

Jason & Tom don't get along. Jason showed up & started finding lots of shit wrong with people's TRs that Tom had worked on. A lot of members started having Jason work on their TRs instead. That didn't go over well with Tom.

Anyway...Jason seems to be a good shit & also knows his shit. He's also reasonable. Only charges us TR guys $50/hr for labor! Fuck, that's less than half of what your average regular repair shop charges! It's just a fun thing for him - he works full-time for the FAA out at MSP airport.

Yeah, I like Tom but he can be pretty set in his ways. He was on this site for a while with JR's sidekick Brett. Tom was bragging about his new Tundra and didn't like that I wasn't a fan of Toyotas. He took his ball and left. I still respect him. Not many like him left. I wish him the best.

Not sure about JR's TTA & shop stuff. I'll ask Tom at our next club meeting.

Looks like I need a new turbo. If I'm gonna do that, I might as well get a modern progressive alky injection setup, too. Downside is that I planned to drive it up to Warroad for Labor Day weekend, but it might not be done in time. At least it will be done right!
