Tesla Plaid rave?

There's a lot of buzz about the Tesla Plaid.
It's hard to dispute ETs ranging from 8.83 to 9.9 1/4 mile depending of rate of charge, but we don't hear about its price tag starting at $135,990!
I feel there are more cost effective ways to have style, safety, A/C. comfort, etc. AND approximately 9 sec performance

Plus the fact that NHRA will let that car race in the 8's and 9's with no aftermarket safety equipment. What a load of crap.
