Well here's what I know about it. Before Joe bought it, we used to watch that Chevelle race at Minn Dragways back in '75. It was a 454/365 hp 4 speed and was in the SS/H class. Had blue Petersen-Thompson writing on the door. They didn't know how to drive it because it would pull a good sized wheelie, run off the track and they'd let off, then get back in it and run high 11s. Clarence used to shake his head and say he'd drive that sucker right! lol. Joe bought it and ran high 11s but with TH 400 and then put a different engine in it and was running 10.60s. I went over and talked to Joe at B.I.R. and told him how much I enjoyed watching it run. He said he wasn't comfortable running mid 10s and won more $$$ running hi 11s. Sounds like he changed it back to a hi 11 sec combo and started winning again, then he sold it to the Nelsons and they named it Beluga.
