  • What are you doing to your car for 2018

This year I am rebuilding the turbo 400 in the Camaro plus flogging the 461 at the Rock before I go to the BIGGER and BETTER 468. Should be interesting this year.

I will be putting the 200R4 my son's Biscayne.

The Bird needs to get back on the road and I will pull the Vortec engine in favor of one of my 6 SB setups for the street. I am leaning on the 11.50 engine I had in the Camaro last year, should be screamer with a stick 6 speed car.

    What's everyone else planning?

    Hmmm

Might get the rattle can out and fix a couple scratches. :)

always big plans, but with two little ones at home time usually doesn't allow them to happen.

i'd like to get some fab work done on a turbo setup for my brown olds. need to buy a fuel tank with baffles from a gn/grand prix that was fuel injected. install the pump I bought into that, run lines to either a sniper or fitech tbi setup.

other one I need to check the valve springs and lift. the car just hasn't felt as strong as it has in the past. before i got it after my dad passed it sat too much. kind of worried it may have wiped lobes down a bit. was talking to my uncle who built the motor and he said his one worry about it is that it could break a spring and drop a valve. I should also check out the tranny cooler out and line pressure on the 200r4 that's in it. It hates life behind that motor shifting at 6800 or so, if it shifts and doesn't hit the rev limiter, especially if i'm just out putting around with it.

so, I have to buy some tools. it could also use some tires, the 10 year old bfg's are pretty rock hard now days
