I just read this, very sad news. Even though he was a Ford racer he was a good guy and beatup on a lot of other drivers. RIP to Bob Glidden.

He did race a GM (Monza) for a short time but wasn't nearly as successful as his Furds, especially his '78 Fairmont.

Yes he did race a GM car in the either late 70's, the Monza did not do very well. John Lingenfelter bought it and raced it in comp eliminator with great success, after that Glidden went on to 10 Championships with Fords. Late in the 90's he was seen trying to race again with a Firebird but I think things had changed so fast that it was only a matter of races and he was gone from the Pro Stock scene.
