Has GM Priced Themselves out of the Pony Car Market

I was looking at 2017 Camaro SS cars and the cheapest was 44K, that's getting to be Corvette money. Won't be too long and no one will be able to afford one of these things. Ferd and Mopar are doing the same thing, only way is now to lease one then turn it in. I am sticking to my old junk for now.

Yeah, the original ponycar concept of making a reasonably-priced, fun-to-drive hot-rod out of an entry-level/economy-car platform seems to be pretty-much dead on this side of the pond.
