At just 41 yrs old, Jimmie joins Richard Petty & Dale Earnhardt as the only 7-time NASCAR Cup champions!
Quite the accomplishment - regardless of whether you like him, or not. He's still got a long way to go to match the King's 200 race wins - but I don't think anyone will ever do that....
Kudos to Jimmie, the 48 team, and GM!
And it was also Smoke's last ride in a Cup car. Very cool to see all of the pit crews lining-up on pit road to give him a high-five. Always enjoyed watching Tony drive a race-car. Watched him from back in his dirt-track days, before he won his IndyCar championship. His driving style reminds me of Earnhardt Sr. - the best driver to ever set foot in a race-car that turns corners... :)
