  • Congrats to Jimmie Johnson!

At just 41 yrs old, Jimmie joins Richard Petty & Dale Earnhardt as the only 7-time NASCAR Cup champions!

Quite the accomplishment - regardless of whether you like him, or not. He's still got a long way to go to match the King's 200 race wins - but I don't think anyone will ever do that....

Kudos to Jimmie, the 48 team, and GM!

And it was also Smoke's last ride in a Cup car. Very cool to see all of the pit crews lining-up on pit road to give him a high-five. Always enjoyed watching Tony drive a race-car. Watched him from back in his dirt-track days, before he won his IndyCar championship. His driving style reminds me of Earnhardt Sr. - the best driver to ever set foot in a race-car that turns corners... :)

I will say, that the end of that race by the 48 team was very impressive, almost like they were laying in the weeds waiting for an opportunity to jump out front, that's exactly what happened. Congats to the whole Hendrick team for getting the job done today.

Quite impressive. Good to see the bow tie on his jacket as he accepted the trophy.
