  • Ford's flat plane crank vs cross plane

The media is excited about this design. The 2016 GT-350 revs to over 8k and tests show it outperformed the 2015 Z28.

Impressive, but if the design is so great, why aren't they using it in their regular production cars?

As we all know--the higher you rev an engine the more stress on rotational mass.

    Also--a recent test was conducted on a 2016 GT-350 vs a heavier 2015 Z-28. Brings back memories where they tested a 2003 Cobra vs a 2002 Z28. Typical Ford.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that if GM built a LS 302 engine with the superior head design that they have it would wipe out the fords. Might need like 4.88's in the car to do it but then the Z/28 is a race car anyway so who cares. Oh ya, it would also rev 80 8K without 4 cams and all the crap that goes along with that shit pile ford makes.
