I like some of the other Corvette guy's posts. Saying "I would rather you put the stock wheels back on and try for a 10.5 then be dishonest". Something to that effect anyways.

So far, we have yet to see a 'Cat run anywhere near close to 10.38 on pump-gas with nothing but a tire change. And I'm sure that at least a few 'Cat owners are smart enough to put skinnies on the front, along with their drag radials & a bottle in the back. Most likely, they haven't posted any videos because they're embarrassed that they can't get the damn thing to hook until well-past half-track. :rotfl:

A mod is a mod, even if it SLOWS the car down and doesn't work to your advantage.
In all fairness, he's not the only who has done it either. There's a 9 second bolt on C7 Z06 that's using non-stock front wheels/tires yet "conveniently" forgetting to add them to their mod list as well and I just can't figure out why.
I've been doing this 'ET chasing and posting about it' for almost 15 years now, and I've NEVER considered not disclosing all of the modifications I'd used to attain a specific ET/MPH when posting about it on message forums for the world to see."
