If this Ford crap is so fast with the terminator engines, all the fancy stuff is so great, then why do ford owners have to resort to putting LSX engines with turbos in the mustangs and other ford products? DING DING DING!....Beacuse the LSX engine with a turbo IS SUPERIOR to the 32 valve can of bolts.

Yup, the LS based engine does kick ass on a lot of other makes.

Nothing wrong with the 32 valve terminator engine most guys just get greedy with the boost and then things go pop. Most people will go the easy route, the LS engine swap is a fad.

So, the 32V Ford guys are more apt to push the boost than the LSx Chevy guys? That says something...

Is this because they're just more apt to misjudge the knock-limited power output of their 32V builds, or because they have to crank the boost up to engine-popping levels trying to keep up with the LSx turbo guys without breaking the bank (who, evidently, are more apt to stay within the limits of their engine builds - either because they're better at building engines, or because they started with an intrinsically better engine in the first place, and are able to get the power they need from the LSx without cranking the boost up so high)?

A lot of the Ford guys here in Chitown have gone to the LSX engines with turbos also. It seems as though many of these Ford owners cannot build one right so they panic and go with what the other guy does.

You can get junkyard GM 5.3s for dirt cheap. Seems like a lot of people out there are going for the 4.8/5.3 + turbo route. Make crazy power for cheaper than most other methods.

                Here's a 5.3 liter turbo GTO (730 rwhp)
