mounds view squad cars running at northstar back in the day

Any body remember see any of the Mounds view squad cars back in 69-71 years running out at North Star drag strip ? My father was a police man for Mounds view back then and I can remember going with him a few times back when they used to do the security out there and they would run the squad cars down the strip to see what they would do ! If I remember they were using Ford LTDs with 428s and Dodges or Plymouths with the 440s in them after they were done using the old black Ford station wagons back then ! Any photos would be great to see as this would bring back some memories of my now deceased father !
