Cedar Falls Raceway is for sale

Read this on Yellow Bullet the other day. CF Raceway is for sale and I am sure that if they do not find a buyer it will be closed this year as the owner is in charge of IHRA. I hope that some home builder doe not get a hold of this and start building houses.

Let's all pitch in and buy it. Then we can see what it actually costs to make a track run. Probably won't think a $75 entry fee is over-charging the racers.

I'm betting that you'd be right. I expect that most smaller-venue tracks just barely get by when times are good. With the economy still pretty much in the tank, I bet that it's tougher for smaller tracks to keep the gates open than it has ever been.

I saw that it was going to be a IHRA track which I think would be good as the rules are a little looser, sure hope it stays open, I like racing there.
