The new C7 Z06 will be unveiled in a couple months (Detroit auto show I believe)
A few spy shots of the engine have been taken:
So far this is what is being said:
The Z06 will no longer have the N/A 7.0 liter 427. It will have a supercharged version of the 6.2 liter direct injection LT1. That motor will be called the "LT4" and is rumored to have at least 650 HP.
The new CTS-V and ZL1 Camaro will also have this S/C 6.2 liter.
An auto trans (8L90) is said to have a capacity of up to 737 ft/lbs. The Z06 is rumored to be available in both manual and auto transmissions.
There hasn't been much said about the new ZR1 Vette but there are rumors that it might be turbo.
Anyway, it's all speculation until we get official word and that won't be for another couple months. Fun to speculate though. :cool:
