Uhh...property taxes usually do go down when the property values also go down or as local tax levy is paid.

My house is valued the same now as in 1999 but the taxes are double from then, so really they are higher. I was a little surprised to see a -15.3% drop from last year on the new notice.

Probably dropped because of the way you don't let any rif-raf in your neighborhood. They feel that's cheaper than paying a city cop to constantly patrol over there. lol

Mine went down only 3.5%
