  • 'Black Air' - GN documentary

Have you guys heard about the GN documentary that's being released on Dec 11th - exactly 25 years to the day after the last GN rolled off the assembly line in '87?

      Mini-review:

Black Air is a must-watch for anyone who is into Buicks. Hell, it's well-worth watching for anyone who is into cars. It's done documentary-style - including interviews with a couple of GN enthusiasts, two of the guys who were on the project, and a few prominent automotive journalists. No hype or BS. The bonus tracks include interviews with two guys who were involved with the project. Ron Yuille (powertrain engineer) tells a few stories about the GN team busting the Corvette team's balls after wiping the floor with them on the strip & the street. He even admitted that on a cool morning, the ’87 GN was making far more than the advertised 245 HP. More like 300+ HP! David Roland (technical writer & insider on the GN & GNX project) is also interviewed.

I do wish there would have been more drag racing footage & I thought they spent a bit too much time comparing the GN to the Ferarris of the day. Other than that, I thought it was well-done. I highly recommend the film to anyone who is into cars. http://www.gnmovie.com/

Yeah the GN was an interesting car to say the least. The 87 Corvettes could hardly get out of their own way.
