  • Powercruise 2 Day 1

Ok all you people who do not want to come and have a good time. Day one was pretty good, Went around th track a ton of times and IT'S A BLAST. I did break the car one time and burned a fuel line but I went to NAPA and got a repair line and it's good to go.What happend was one of the exhaust check valve is bad and the head burned off the hose and then the hot exhaust melted the plastic fuel line. I could smell fuel with the air on but thought it was the guy in front of me. I am just glad I did not burn the car to the ground.

Got some video and pictues and will post some up when I can. Fotoboy is the and Dan is doing the video and pics for the powercriuse people. Dee, Khan and Dave with the red Z06 is there too.

Still time to come up and have a good time. Best time I have had with a car ever.

Up there right now. Talked to Bob last night and he was saying he will be there the whole weekend. Looks like fun to me should have brought my TA.

Nice to see you today. Day 2 was fun, gave Glenn a ride in the Green Z, not sure what he thought, he just asked me to slow down. :laughing smile:

Khan was beating ass around the track and some dick with struck cut him off and he flat spotted the two front tires. Dee has some worse troubles as it looks like he got a ton blow by. I hung with a newer mustang GT the whole time and we were neck and neck on the straights, I gothic in the corners. Day 2 was even better than day 1. I also added a little air dam on the front the car ran cooler and was faster today.

PowerCruise is different than what I thought it would be. I'm glad I went and would bring my car. I had to leave early for a wedding recept, plus got a call from work so I had to stop there too, so I didn't get to see the drags.

There were some interesting rides up there. I wish I had time to take a pic of the '67 Camaro with RH drive.

Rode shotgun in Bob's Z28 and ran the video camera. That car hung with a bunch of em in the tight turns and held its own coming down the straightaways. I actually got a little queasy hangin on. Guess I'm a wimp when it comes to road course racing.

It is always different when you are a passenger. There are a lot guys that would go to the track with that can drive great, but they don't do well as a passenger. I'd bet you'd do fine if you were behind the wheel.

or just maybe it was Bob's driving?

Sorry, I did not know you were getting a little queasy or I would have slowed down for you. Dave's Z06 was unreal and it was tossing me around in the seat quite a bit. I can see how these guys road racing do nee 5 way belts.
Sure wished Jow would have showed up I wouls have schooled him in the twisties too. The most pissed off guy I had this weekend was some guy in an infinity coupe that could not get around me no matter what. After killing him on the straights I let him go go by and waved at him but he had a pissedliik on his face. It was nive to go all out and not get a TICKET!, too bad my car is a pooch.:rotfl: By the was Glenn, Shola was there with his boy and the showed up just after I dropped you off. He said he would talk to you at CC.

Yeah, Dave's Z06 is one impressive ride. The technology on it is quite amazing. If I were looking to buy a car, a used one like that probably would be the best bang for the buck out there. I think he said he pulled 1G on the course when you rode along and 155 mph on the straightaway.

That one Cobra was smoking pretty bad out the right exhaust. The more they pounded on it, the worse it got. Bogus and overrated cars in my opinion.

Dave's Z06 killed that cobra and every other car he raced. Dave even lapped an older vette 3 times. I got to talk with Fast Eddy and was even on the track when he was out with a yellow Trumpet. It is a very nice car too. Only cars that got around me in the twisties were the high HP car otherwise I could hold my own with the rest of them. I even wooped a WRX for a long time and then on the long straight he put a few cars on me, then I cought him again and passed him in the corners.

Had a great time till the little 2.5 liter started a knockin, car was sticking like glue in the corners. Buddy's arm is big time sore from trying to stay in his seat. LOL
People just don't know how fun Powercruise is, this year there were 12 hours of cruising on the road course plus all the other events. The burnout are nuts, the girls are pretty,
the drifting needs some American iron, the big tire cars rule the off street drags, powerskids aren't easy and then there's the BIR night life. Another awesome weekend!

Yeah, I guess you're right. I have a couple friends who won't ride shotgun going just 2 blocks.

Bob's driving probably did play a good part as to why I got a little queasy though. lol

Yeah, I'll admit I wasn't too receptive about the concept until Bob actually decided to take his car. He should be in sales because he was relentless on selling me on how much fun it was up there. Then I took a ride around the course and I got the bug. Geez, now I guess I'm in for next year.
