Let's face it... GM, Ford and Dodge dominate the full sized truck market. You really can't go wrong with any of them.
The link proves that advertised hp ratings don't tell the whole story about which gets the job done in the real world. GM announced their hp ratings and as usual, Ford tweaked theirs to claim top hp ratings. Same as the over-hyping of the hp of the 2013 GT500. These are 2011s but the specs for 2012 should be the same.
For such a difference in accelleration between the two, it's obvious GM's factory computer does a better job of compensating for high altitude. GM enginerrs knew it and took advantage of the advantage. It remains to be seen but GM has superior suspension technology on the ZL1 Camaro that most likely the Ford GT500 can't match at Nurburgring. That's why we haven't seen the results yet.
