  • LS6 Chevelle for sale on eBay

Talk about a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!!!! Cars of this caliber are rarely offered to the general public. they are normally quietly traded between a small contingency of collectors and the general public is never given the opportunity to even contemplate the purchase of one. We made waves in the collector car world with the last pedigree LS6 we offered, we aim to turn it upside down with this car.

Desert Autosport is pleased to offer this 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS454 LS6. The car is finished in Astro blue (25-25) with a black vinyl interior (755). the car is equipped with soft-ray tinted glass (a01), positraction axle (g80), 450-hp turbo-jet 454 (ls6), special 4-speed transmission (m22), heavy duty battery (t60), special instrumentation (u14), am pushbutton radio (u63), cowl induction hood (zl2), performance axle ratio (zq9) and group option (z15).

This car is certified "Diamond restored". There were a handfull of select Chevelle's that were judged and scored for either a Diamond Restored or a Diamond Benchmark certification by the very well respected Jeff Dotterer and Inspected by Chevelle guru Chris White. The comments on the scoring sheet state the following - "this car has been meticulously restored, as it should be. and while no car is ever perfect, this one is close enough to have earned its' place as a diamond restored winner. its' score of 5293 of a possible 5500 is a testament to the quality of restoration, and attention to detail that has been performed. restoration is all about preserving original musclecars for historical record in as close to authentic condition as humanly possible. this car passes the test with flying colors !!!" the car was judged on august 13th, 2002. at that time, it was the third highest scoring LS6 ever. painstaking effort has been undergone to increase the perfection of the car. we feel at this point it could quite possibly be the highest scoring LS6 in existence.

The car was also shown at the 2003 chevy/vettefest nationals and was awarded the "spinner concourse" designation as the second highest scoring LS ever. it scored 994 out of a possible 1000 points. The first time we owner this car was back in 2003. Just for fun, we showed the car at our local World of Wheels show here in the phoenix civic center and the car swept the show ! it won "outstanding paint", "outstanding restored" and "best of show". when we say that this car is one of the top two in existence, it is no overstatement.

The car is documented beyond belief. We have the original shipping invoice, original build sheet, original warranty card with protect-o-plate, pictures of the original dealership it was sold at, a picture of the salesman who sold it new, pictures of the original owner and his new wife with the car on their wedding night, and when we had the car at the World of Wheels show the original owner's (husband and wife) flew in from Nebraska and we took pictures of them with the car they bought new and got married in back in 1970!!! (and yes they are still happily married). We also have the diamond restored series judging sheets and a complete ownership history since day one.

We sold the car in 2004 to a very good customer of ours and when he received the car it was just too nice for him to drive and after watching it sit for a few months he sold the car. We randomly contacted the next owner of the car in 2005 to see if he would be interested in selling it. Ironically enough he told us that on the initial test drive of the car he took it down the street from his house, almost drove the car through a misfiring sprinkler head in his neighborhood, panicked that the car would get dirty, returned home and was afraid to drive the car again. He said he knew a previous owner or someone that knew the car would somehow contact him to find the car and he never even advertised it or told anyone that he would consider selling it.

We purchased the car back and readvertised it. Immediatly we had a ton of interest in the car and one of the first calls we got was from a previous customer of ours that we had sold a multiple award winning Fathom Blue Chevelle LS6 in 2003. He said his car was amazing and was tickled pink with it but his car will never be the Astro Blue car. He had seen the car at previous car shows and was blown away by it. All his cars in his collection were the best money could buy and he had to add this car to his collection and stated that he would never sell it. He traded back his Fathom Blue LS6 for the Astro Blus LS6 car and has shown the Astro Blue car competitivly from 2005-2010 and it swept every show it went to and is a 3 time Grand National Senior champion on top of a whole bunch of other awards it won. He called us recently and said the car has been retired for a year and is a shame to hide it away in his garage. There were no more awards it could receive and was looking to start over with another car.

On a side note, the Fathom Blue car that we took back in on trade resold in one day to a ultra high end car collector for well over $100,000 and the car was so incredible that it inspired him to open a ultra high end muscle car restoration/resto-rod shop called S&S motorsports in Florida. Now imagine how nice the Astro Blue car is as it cost almost twice the price of the Fathom Blue car!!!

Well over $100,000.00 and over a thousand man hours have been spent to bring the car to its' current state. The car could not be duplicated for any amount of money. It just does not get any better guys, meticulously restored, fully documented. trailered show winner. 32,298 documented miles. investment grade. once in a lifetime opportunity. Interested and qualified collectors are encouraged to call and chat in length about the car. It is priced well into the six figures and worth every penny. please refrain from calling to see "what is the least you will take for the car".

Please call us at 480-894-4004. with any questions or to discuss this car. Also check out our website at Desertautosport.com for more amazing chevelle's or more information on this one.
