The 1000+ mile drive before the last pass on drag week says a lot about the street car manners on the car. Be interesting to see what happens this year.
I remember when Big Daddy broke 200 MPH in '64. In '67, Top Fuel broke into the 6's when Don Johnson ran a 6.97. Funny Cars didn't break into the 6's until 1970. Pro-Stock didn't break into the 6's until '94, when Kurt Johnson ran a 6.98.
And this thing drove over a thousand miles to get to the track. Holy crap!
