This sucks. I thought the new 6.7 was in-de-struckt-abble

Owner said it started making a ticking sound and ignorded it because this seems to be a common problem with the new 6.7PS, till he could get to the dealer. He drove it again, everything shut off and oil came out the bottom.

Then again, my 01 Ranger has paid for itself time and time again. I've had ok luck with Fords as daily drivers. I had 3 in the last 20 years. The worst vehicle I've owned yet has been Dodge, hands down.

foard lol.ford does make a good truck. better than their sucky cobra crap with soda pop can pistons. zman is right tho. gms duramax is proven and alison trannies are bulletproof. ford can't match the track record of gms diesel powertrain no matter how many comercials they run. even dodges cummins have a better dependability than foard

Agree without the background story you can't make a valid judgement. Seems odd though that you see more Fords doing heavy duty service ie: tow trucks, farmers, landscaping, construction, etc vs GM and Dodges despite the fact Ford hasn't had a very reliable and trouble free diesel truck since the 7.3.
