Record Low pressure today

Record low pressure recorded today 28.42 WOW can you imagine how slow the cars would run today.

The last two times we had record low pressure:
The Edmund Fitzgerald went down on Lake Superior.
The Halloween snow storm (2 days and around 30 inches of snow)

I'm a shipwreck/Great Lakes lighthouses buff so I watch the maritime weather on days like this. Today, at 10:08 this morning, gale warnings were issued for the Lake Superior ships. They expected winds up to 56 knots and waves up to 27 feet in the open lake. Wouldn't be a good time to be working on an ore boat out there.

Yeah, they were talking on the radio today about how many women give birth when the pressure is real low. That's crazy.

Just watched on tv and the record is now 28.21 at Int'l falls yesterday, Outside of a hurricane and a Noreaster it was the lowest pressure ever recorded in the lower 48.
