We all hear about the bad experiences with cops that paint a picture they are all pricks, but why don't we hear about the good experiences?
You couldn't pay me enough to be a cop, so I tend to give 'em a break. Or...maybe it's because my brother was a city cop for a few years and a high school friend was also a city cop, then he went on to become an Illinois state trooper.
I remember when the friend who was a city cop actually took a bunch of us outside of town to "referee" a race between my brother's SS-454 against a '69 ram air 3 judge.
In Cairo, Ill, a chief of police who was into cars, took my brother and I for a ride in his '68 GTO. It was a green 4-speed with 3-bbl holley, headers, cam etc. He stopped in the middle of town, revved it up and dumped the clutch. lol
There have been many cops who have given me a break when I didn't deserve one. The good and the bad experiences definitely stick in your mind.....
