Donation for Raquel (Rockin'98)

Maybe some of you know, maybe some don't know.. She has been battling cancer for the last year or so and is having a tough time... She was at the dyno day / benefit for ReRod at Hailey's shop a few years back, in case you were there and drawing a blank on who she is..

Here is whats been going on since she had surgery and the 12 weeks of traditional chemotherapy if you want to read up on it.

Shes at Fairview Southdale in room # 823. A little update that i copy/paste.

Well, I was there for a good part of the day/s though out the weekend. Her health is slowly declining, and IMO, the Dr's are not doing a anything and its pissing me and her family off. Seems like they take a scan/x-ray then 2 days later its the next step.

Raquel is trying her hardest to hold on and today she mentioned to me that she doesn't know how much longer she can do it, the pain is overwhelming for her and her abdominal area is really starting to swell up..
She cant stand up anymore and still cant really eat anything other then a little liquid food here and there so we are hoping/praying the Dr's can do something so she can regain strength then get back on a treatment.

We had the Chaplin in with us to help pray for her and give her the strength she needs to get thru this battle..

She liked seeing you guys and it would be appreciated if you guys could stop in from time to time to see her, so she knows we are still pulling for her.

I will try to stop in but with my new Job I don't get out that way like I did before. It breaks my heart seeing this as I had to watch my sister die from cancer not too long ago and I am not sure I can take seeing this over again as it is so painfull for me. She is a very nice girl and maybe Jody you could orginize a bennefit for her or have an auction type potluck dinner where people could meet. Did she race her car last year when Photoboy was at the rock, If so I think I have some video of her car I could do something with and send it to her if you think that would brighten up her day.


I hope she pulls through and I will try to get down there to see her.

Just talked with her mom.. They are not going to do surgery, they said its too much and too big to do any good. Only shot is for her to get chemo treatment and Raquel does not want to do it.
In her state the chemo might be too much for her but if she doesnt do it its bad as well.. im going there now to see if I can persuade her to do the chemo.

I am so sorry to hear this, Sounds like the same thing that happend to my sister.

Well Jody, that's too bad. I was hoping for better news. I can't imagine the pain she's going through and the sorrow you're going through. I feel for ya bud.

After spending some time with her today, I convinced her to do chemo and give it another shot... She is all ready hooked up with the chemo drugs and getting her 1st does of it.. Hopefully this will shrink the tumor/s, she can start eating and will buy her time while her parents look into another option for treatment.

Ok, Jody you need to do a Bowling tourney or something to help her out, This winter sucks anyway. You guys we can have a TCS vs. TCO vs. MNGMPP vs. Twolane Set it up Jody for a Sat. Night so all can attend.
