Hey, everyone...
I was at the 3DRC club's fun-fly in Nowthen last Saturday & I shot some video. I figured some of you would enjoy these clips....
Big heli doing 3D aerobatics: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4v_QFKo19s
Big heli doing wild 3D aerobatics. Same one that hit the pole a couple hours later. This heli has a 60" rotor, weighs about 10-15 pounds, and has a nitro-burning 0.91 cid two-stroke pushing 4 HP. Only about $250 damage. Not bad, considering the heli cost $3500 to build: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJdlVsb_fmU
Big heli hits pole @ 100 MPH: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwks3SLdfJM
Giant-scale Yak doing 3D aerobatics. This Yak weighs about 35 pounds and has a 110 cc gas flat-twin pushing around 15 HP or so: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XllEcA9bzE
Large-scale P-47 Thunderbolt flying in formation at WOT with a large-scale Ultimate biplane. The 'Jug' weighs about 25 pounds & has a 50 cc two-stroke gas engine. It can go 130 MPH or better. The biplane is a bit lighter, and has a large nitro-burning 4-stroke: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7OnkK63nkw
Turbojet plane doing fast passes & aerobatics. This plane weighs around 30 pounds loaded with jet-fuel. The turbine has about 35-40 pounds of thrust: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2LtCzIneQg
