Just found this tidbit, Anyone else know anything about it?



According to Edmunds Inside Line's Dan Pund, GM is relighting the fires on the Chevy Camaro Z/28, the supercharged, LSA-powered, 556HP tire-liquefying mega mullet machine. No details yet on timing but Wert's just passed out from joy.

According to Ed Welburn, GM's Vice President for global design, the on-again, off-again Z/28 is back in the plan. The modified body is done, according to Welburn. There is still calibration work to be done on the powertrain, though. We're still looking at about a year's wait before the Z/28 would appear.

Still don't think it should be called Z28 - should be ZL1. But oh well, at least they are making it.

Hopefully by then they will have forged parts in the LSA.
