Ported but not polished

Got my port put in on Wednesday. It's a little disc-lookin' piece about the size of a quarter and maybe 1/2" high with a tube coming out of it placed slightly below my shoulder blade. The tube is then fed into one of the larger veins close to the heart (you can see the tube run over the shoulder blade). This is for chemotherapy so they don't have to always be using the veins in my arms, wearing them out. They can also administer larger doses of the meds this way.

There isn't too much pain anymore. They made sure I had some good pills for that.
Now it's just a matter of getting used to having it there.
