"Topped off" the mini truck this moring, 1/2 tank @ $3.37 totalling 48.00 , but as stated above, what do ya do, we will all get used to it. remember back in the day when it was
.80 a gallon? then 1.50 sounded high. then 2.50 was high. and 3.00??? NO WAY!! . If we ever see $3.00 a gallon, which we wont, we would be like holy $h!t This place has gas for ONLY $3.00. everyone would bum rush that place. so whatever it sucks but it is what it is..

When I went to BIR yesterday, it was $3.49 to $3.69. On the way home, there was nothing less than $3.59.

                Premium 91, non-oxy was $3.79 in Princeton.

The good news is....I get 25+ MPG going to the track.

The bad news is......I get about 4 MPG while going around the track.

Rusty Gatenby from channel 5 was up there doing a little interview / racing deal, so I might be on TV.

                        It burns gas and rubber.

Great mileage, it would be great if that was all one had to figure for operating costs.

If you're into saving money...let's look at a couple smart examples...

                              1. Honda Hybrid Civic (cannot use E85)

                              Average sale price: $21,000
                              98 Cobra S/C mileage claim: 40mpg

                              Test results from Consumer Reports:
The Civic has responsive handling and a steady, compliant ride. Road noise is pronounced. The 1.8-liter engine returned 28 mpg with the automatic and 31 mpg with the manual. The hybrid returned 37 mpg overall.

*Annual fuel cost: @ $3.60 per gal = $1350 (based on 15,000 mi per year 40 mpg not 37)
                              Monthly Payment financing $21,000 @ 6.76% APR x 60 months = $413.45

                              2. 2007 Chevrolet Impala LT (E85 compatible)

                              Average pre-owned cost = $16000

                              EPA City mileage 18
                              Hwy 29
Let's use a low figure for a combined average: 23
                              *Annual fuel cost: $2347.83
                              Monthly payment financing $16,000 x 60 months @ 6.76 APR = $315.01

                              Monthly fuel and payment costs:
                              Honda =
                              Fuel $112.50 + $413.45 payment = $525.95

                              Chev Impala=
                              Fuel $195.65 + payment $315.01 = $510.66

So...you're spending more money per month to feel less pain at the pump?

Also, more money for a compact car with 110 hp vs a full size with 211hp?

Let's take a look at warranties...

Just a couple things to think about.....lol
