I am on the mnhonda forum and this kid say the his buddy has a 355 that rev to 11K rpm and he put in $8000 worth of internal parts and it makes 450hp. It's in his dirt track car. I am like he's full of shit. I ask if he could get a parts list and the parts he post are low end cheap parts.

Ok my friend has a 355 which is a 350 chevy engine bored over but he had like $8000 worth of internal parts put into it. He had it sent to a place in ohio that builds engines for dirt track racing. It dynoed at 450 hp. not sure torque. But he told me that it can rev to 11,000 rpms. I say bullshit. He is all like thats what the shop told me. Im not sure if heard wrong but i think it is B.S.

He has a shitty ebay tach on it and when he goes it shows on the tack that he revs past 8,000 + rpms. Im thinking that the tach has to be reading wrong but it says the same on his stock cluster too.

Im thinking he doesnt have enough money into it to go that high.

As for the title he kept saying his v8 would out rev my inline 4 anyday.

Can someone tell me if this is true?

He says its got vortec heads, high velocity oil pump, aluminum roller rockers and cams and polished crank, I think he said black and keith rods. But he doesn't know what pistons

Yeah im thinking that most of the cost was spent on labor. He could have bought a crate motor for less. Now he has hooker headers and holley double pump carb i think he said.

He thinks he is going to be able to go supercharged in the spring. lol
