Joe keeps saying 11.90s isn't quick. Well he's partially correct. 11.90s with 500 rwhp probably wouldn't be considered quick....11.90s with 750 rwhp wouldn't be impressive either. What he fails to realize is that it's all relative. My SS has a raceweight of 3740 and has documented 363 at the wheels which has run 11.88 to low 12s. His Cobra which he likes to compare to my car and has over 500 rwhp, weighs probably less than mine and has run 11.53 ONCE and mostly 11.7s to 11.8s to 12s. Am I missing something here?

He implies that drag radials and slicks aren't much different. Well it depends on the size of the drag radial. It also depends on whether it's an automatic or stick shift and at what rpm the launch is at. A drag slick has a sidewall that is better suited for leaving the line with a manual trans vs a drag radial. You can't shock a 17" D/R with a 5500 to 6000 launch like you can with a slick unless you have drag suspension (which I don't have). Joe leaves the line at 5500 or higher and I launch my SS at no more than 4k. My camshaft works best between 4500 and 6500.

I don't need anyones approval for what I've been able to run with my car...however...I won't put up with someone telling me that 11.90 isn't quick for my package. I've been around and have raced cars since my teenage years and will say that anyone who says 11.9s isn't quick for 363 rwhp and 3740 raceweight is either ignorant or a hater or both.

Too bad you could not have made it to the rock a couple of weeks ago would have been fun to line them up. Like to line'em up with sloss but he is too much of a pussy to bring his car to a track even though he says it has a ton of power. Ryan is another puss bag too. Fotoboy was there and ren some pretty goog mph.
