LOL! Probably! Then again - pretty much every generation has music that they would consider to be a bit on the silly side later in life. Hey - at least we've got surfer/hot-rod music. Could be much worse. Be glad that we're not the disco generation!
My favorite of all the early rock is Doo Wop. I still love listening to it. The PBS Doo Wop specials about 10 years ago were excellent. Doo Wop 50, Doo Wop 51, and Rock, Rhythm, and Doo Wop. They got the most popular of the old Doo Wop bands back together for live concerts. It was absolutely amazing to see those singers - many in their 70s and older - still able to hit the harmonies just like they did 50 years earlier.
