but my best is a low 11 on my OLD config. New config is probably a solid low 11 timeslip but I don't have much desire to drag race without a cage & get kicked out of a $70 test day for 1 run. :)

I should stay out of this but I can not. Quadro flunkie is being too rude to dan. Dan is not ryan, he seems to be a pretty nice guy for a Ford owner.There is a million ways to ask for proof or a video but the way this fool put it is uncalled for.Not everyone has a video camcorder. I didn't have one till a week ago, so even I don't have a video. I think dan has gone to the track but maybe i am wrong. But since he seems trustworthy, I can and would believe him. He has no reason to lie cuz he doesn't seem to care much about being a top dog.The o3/04 cobras have gotten into the tens, I have seen them! and some of the locals have gone into the 8;s , I heard, not seen, but others did witness this. Ryan also had a fox by the way.I know most of the guys here hate fords, and so be it, dosen't bother me, but I think dan should be atleast talked to with a little respect. LOL, you're right QFux, I don't have my ACTUAL timeslip. I'll try to "back up my big mouth" though. Maybe I'll post using my real name (Dan Neinstadt) or something to show you I'm not just an Internet tough guy. Maybe I'll use proper English and grammar in my responses. THAT'll show you.

I found a few videos from when I raced in 2007 at Rock Falls, which was probably the last time my Cobra was there and it was before a lot more mods including a Whipple and a built motor. This was on the STOCK IRS, the STOCK EATON SUPERCHARGER and the STOCK MOTOR on NITTO DRAG RADIALS. Here are two that got recorded. I can't quite see the time clock but the video is labelled 11.57 @ 122. I know my 60' sucked and that was about 100rwhp less than I make now. I'll back it up with a 2nd video where I ran 11.6x at 121. I have a 3rd on the same day where I ran 11.71@119. I know I went faster but unfortunately this is all I can "PROVE". So I guess I lied, I only went "MID" 11's with MY CAR with a STOCK IRS, a STOCK INTERNALS JUNK 32-Valve V8. Just a small 281ci motor... and a SELF ADMITTED MEDIOCRE driver.

Honestly, I really don't care if you believe me or not. Those that know me on here and even some that don't will tell you I'm a stand up guy and I have no reason to brag or make anyone "look at me". sorry i pissed of a few in here. but just as i thought most people stretch the truth about what there car runs. 11.57 is a good time but not low 11s and like zman said cobras dont run consistant and there times are all over the place. knock it off with the 281 cubes crap becouse you have a power adder. buick grand nationals only have 231 cubes and only one camshaft and 12 valves where you have 32 valves and 4 camshafts which i'll not back down from are a complicated hodgepodge of rotational mass do-do. it takes 15 psi to run a couple 10ths better than zman with no power adders. i guess the ls1 isn't such a bad engine after all and zman doesn't fling shit from the sidelines his car is more impresive than your terminator.

Yes, I have gone to the track but not recently.
Yes, Z28SSman is a better driver.
Yes his car is obviously very fast for what it is and he is a great driver.
All things I have said before.

Stock IRS suspension
Stock supercharger
Nothing removed from the car. Not even the spare tire/jack, swaybar, passenger seat, etc. COMPLETE street form.

I happen to think 11.57, 11.60, and 11.71 on the same day, (likely getting hotter as the day went on) is pretty consistent for a MEDIOCRE driver.
So in closing, I think 11.5x is pretty good for a Drag radial time by an OK driver. Sorry you don't feel that way. I'll try harder to impress you over the Internet.

i dont get it. i defend zman and i get basted by zman and santa.hp? looks like the ford guys win. dont worry you wont have to ban me i wont post here until somebody appreciates me defending the guys here and not the cobra jerks especially the one who claims stock this and stock that but has to run a sc with 15psi,4 cams and 32 valves to run a measley 2 or 3 1oths quicker than zman with no sc and no power adder. i'm confused why you guys still worship and agree with these posers. if a guy has to have a s/c to run mid 11's, i would be ashamed to put that on the internet little alone brag about it. geez

If dneinstad is in fact Stock motor, Stock internals, Stock IRS suspension, Stock supercharger, and running 11.70s thats inpressive. I dont think a stock ls1 Camoro would even come close.
