How'd those forged internals work out for this guy?

Sorry, but that'd be a '99 or '01 Cobra, which was an aluminum block and not anywhere NEAR the forged internals of the '03 Cobra. :)

From the radio, it's a '99 but the '99 didn't have the COBRA on the back bumper, it said MUSTANG. My guess is it's a '99 which had the recall on it which is why there was no 2000 Cobra other than the R. I had a 2001 and it was pretty slow and weak. That's why Ford went nuts on the "Terminator" because they said the '01 was a pooch!

I wondered how long it would take before you commented about a thread with '03 Cobra in it. lol

      You're right--the title shouldn't read '03 Cobra--just Cobra.

so what? their still complicated overated motors and cheap assed forged piston are not much better than any other factory piston
i guess this is not a 03 cobra either

Yeah the one that blew had dip'n dot rods, but I think the one in Quadro's post with the death rattle is an '03 .

Oh, they blow up and so do other engines. The reason why people (especially us GM guys) grab the opportunity to jab, is due to the arrogance of Ford to market the car as "THE TERMINATOR" and tout the engine as having FORGED INTERNALS. For an engine that has such credentials to have so many issues with failures, isn't fantasy--it's real world.
In my experience, many of the owners are pretty much as arrogant as the people who market the car. My LS1 is the factory engine. I doubt the majority of Cobra owners here in the twin cities can say the same....unless they are not raced or are left in the garage.

Maybe we should have a contest and see who can find more vids of blown up Cobra motors vs LS1 motors.

Well to be fair, the 2003 Cobra WAS faster than the 2003 Camaro...
