What do I know you change your car with the wind over there in the top secret bat cave...I didn't notice the wheels and besides you were looking at them wheels at one time if I remember right. Right

Overall I really like the pics, I would look at shooting with longer lenses and a smaller f-stop, that will create less depth of field ( bluring the background out more and creating depth.)this will give a more 3d effect to your pics. Not crazy about your way of doing bw, looks maybe like just desaturated in PS. Look at more contrast wo losing detail and that will help to create separation and drawing the car off the background. I you want a subject, in this case a car, Look for back grounds that set the car off ( black car on white background or a blue car on a yellow background) or you can go the other way and go monochromatic ( red car on red background, black car on a black background or in your last pic which is my favorite whit car on a white back ground.)

As for your candid the most important thing to capture weather you are photographing cars or people is the create a emotion when you look at an image, in this case you are capturing motion of a bad ass car leaving the line showing its power.

What i tell people that want to learn more is to recognize why or why not a particular shot does or does not work so you know how to correct it next time you shoot.

Remember photography is a art so there really is no right or wrong, its all in the eye of the beholder yo just want more beholders to like your stuff if that makes sense.

Thanks Dan! I really appreciate your input since I like the pics that I've seen of yours! Some of those that I posted are from pretty early in my "shooting days", i.e. the second b/w. That was shot before I ever really started playing with settings on the camera (a Canon A60 at the time). The b/w Chevelle was taken with my S1 IS. That's the second-oldest of the pics. Here's that one in color:

The others were all shot with my Rebel XT. There's so much to learn with that camera! But I love it! I have a couple lenses for it but haven't had the opportunity to use them as much as I'd like for shooting cars. I really need to be more aggressive to shoot this year!

Again, I appreciate your input! Here's 2 other non-car candids for the helluva it

Yes he did. He sold that (the T/A) to Tim Watson. Not sure if he still has it or not.
